Welcome! I’m Sarrah, a Medical and Biological Illustration graduate student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I previously received my Bachelor’s in Behavioral Neuroscience and Fine Art and Master of Science in Business Management from Lehigh University.

I believe that scientific artists are true magicians. They have the power to communicate without words, to make the unseen seen, the complex simple, and the simple beautiful. It was in my early career that I decided I had to become a magician—to join this remarkable league of interdisciplinary creators that serve as the foundation of visual communication and education.

I am dedicated to creating captivating biomedical artwork and animations with the utmost precision, clarity, and creativity. It is my mission to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge, bridge the gap between medical professionals, researchers, and the broader public, and make a meaningful impact through the power of visual storytelling.

When I’m not creating scientific work, I enjoy reading, hiking, and art content creation on my social platforms. My personal artwork is currently most inspired by the novelty of the human body—for me, hands and eyes are the most beautiful and emotional subjects. I enjoy studying how our emotions can be evoked strictly through dynamic human form and body language, which I hope to capture and eternalize within my work.
